Lidl is recalling a popular product. It is contaminated with cancer-causing toxins

Laboratory tests showed that the permitted proportion of ochratoxin A was exceeded in rye flour type 720 weighing 1 kg. Ochratoxin A is a toxin of fungal origin.

According to experts, it may have a carcinogenic effect, especially in relation to the kidneys. The Chief Sanitary Inspector confirms that this substance may cause DNA damage.

The recall concerns specific product numbers 31485/24, 31492/24 and 31495/24, with a minimum survival date of November 2024. Lidl emphasizes that other Gdańskie Młyny brand products are not covered by the recall.
