“Lidl Lietuva” is recruiting a team for a new store in Gargždai. For potential employees, the company offers not only the highest salary among the country’s major grocery chains, but also a western work culture and a wide package of additional benefits.

Continuing its expansion in Lithuania, in the near future the Lidl retail chain will open two more stores – in Vilnius and Kaunas. The construction of the second logistics center is also underway – in Vilnius, near Lentvaris, it is planned to create about two hundred new jobs. The new logistics center will start operating in 2024.
Offers the highest salary in the sector

According to the data of the “Rekvizitai.lt” portal in July of this year, the average salary of “Lidl Lietuva” reaches 1,898.29 euros before taxes and is the highest average salary among the five big retail chains.
“Lidl Lietuva” evaluates market salaries based on the wage indicators of employees who have worked in the retail network for the entire calendar month.

Additional benefits not only for employees, but also for their relatives
“Lidl Lietuva” pays particular attention to the health of employees, therefore, after the trial period, all employees are provided with additional health insurance, and during the cold season, free flu vaccinations are offered to team members and their children up to 14 years of age.
“With additional health insurance, employees can cover the costs of treatment in polyclinics and hospitals, purchase medicines, wellness products (food supplements or vitamins), receive compensation for part of the costs of dental and optical services,” says the Lidl Lietuva board member and HR manager.
The company takes care of not only physical, but also emotional health – all employees can visit ten sessions of psychotherapy by a doctor-psychotherapist or a psychologist-psychotherapist free of charge per year and use the special consultation program “You can count on us!”, which gives team members and their relatives the opportunity to consult specialists in legal, personal or financial matters.
“We also take care of employees’ family members. For example, every year we give sets of the most necessary office supplies to children of school-age employees. This year, more than 1,300 sets will reach not only the offspring of employees, but also children living in community homes. In this way, we aim to make the start of the school year as smooth and easy as possible for both parents and children”, says S. Savickienė.
