Lidl Expands in La Côte-Saint-André with New Store Opening and Community Donation Initiative

After Saint-Étienne-de-Saint-Geoirs, Saint-Barthélemy and Grand-Lemps, among others, Lidl is meshing the northern territory a little more with the opening of its new store in La Côte-Saint-André. “All the interest for Lidl is to improve its supermarket offer in the sector in order to offer everyone the possibility of having access to a store of the brand less than fifteen minutes from their home, explains Benjamin Vincent. , head of real estate development in Isère at Lidl. With almost 5,000 inhabitants and a catchment area of ​​more than 20,000 people, the municipality offers a strategic geographical location and good visibility for the brand”. After the inauguration of the building in the presence of elected officials, Monday, May 22, the store officially opens its doors this Wednesday, May 24 at 8 a.m.

During the first four days of opening of the store, from Wednesday 24 to Saturday 27 May, 50 euro cents will be collected each time an amount greater than 15 euros is checked out. These donations will be donated to the public school of La Côte-Saint-André.

15 employees in this new store

The new store is located in the La Mure business area at 100 avenue Aristide Briand in place of the building formerly occupied by the Monsieur Meuble brand. Work to set up Lidl began at the end of summer 2022 and has just been completed.

The sales area extends over 99 m2 ² accompanied by 3,000 m2 ² of green spaces created thanks to the support of an ecologist and a landscape designer. Lidl’s desire to green its new establishments. Thus, twenty-six trees have been planted and climbing plants cover a small part of the facade. The car park has 73 spaces, four of which are reserved for electric vehicles, but also two spaces for people with reduced mobility and two others for families. Several charging stations for electric bikes are installed.

The store will offer nearly 90% private label and 72% made in France products. It has a hot spot area for breads and pastries baked on site with around fifty products.

In total, 15 employees on permanent contracts will work in this Lidl, 7 of which come from other stores and 8 are from new recruitments.

Soon an extension to Beaurepaire

The Lidl group also wants to extend the sales area of ​​its Beaurepaire store. A permit has been filed for this. This extension will allow the brand to offer its entire range of products.
