A pedophile in Lida was sentenced to 20 years in prison. The man raped the little daughter of a cohabitant, reported in USC in the Grodno region.
According to the case file, a 27-year-old resident of Lida raped the minor daughter of his cohabitant in January 2022. He took the girl and her younger brother from kindergarten. Arriving home, using the helpless state of the girl, her stepfather began to commit sexual violence against her. When the girl began to sob and break out, the man beat her, after which he completed his plan.
The man tried to hide the traces of the crime and tried to deceive his cohabitant: she said that the girl received bruises in the kindergarten. The woman called for medical help. On the same day, the man was arrested.
It turned out that for six months the offender had been regularly satisfying his sexual needs using a defenseless child. The girl did not understand what was happening, and could not resist. The man asked me not to tell anyone.
Later, during interrogation, the girl’s mother said that one autumn she said that she wanted to live with her and her brother. However, the woman did not pay due attention to these words, she did not notice any oddities in her daughter’s behavior.
In addition, the investigators found that in 2022, the pedophile also committed sexual acts against a neighbor girl when she came to visit the daughter of his cohabitant. The girl did not tell anyone about what had happened.
A resident of Lida has been charged under several articles of the Criminal Code. The Lida District Court found the man guilty and sentenced him to 20 years in prison.
