Liceo Polivalente de San Nicolás exceeded the regional and national average – La Discusión

Once again, the education of San Nicolás is positioned within the improvements of the Ñuble Region, supported by the great results obtained in the SIMCE 2023 announced on recent Wednesday, March 6, by the Ministry of Education.

And the San Nicolás commune has managed to surpass the regional and national average in its results, highlighting once again the excellent achievements obtained by the 4th grade and 2nd grade students of the Liceo Bicentenario de Excelencia Polivalente de San Nicolás. The distinguished establishment achieved 314 points in mathematics and 309 in language in 4th grade, while in 2nd grade, it obtained 293 in language and 360 in mathematics, surpassing private and subsidized schools at the regional level, and even emblematic private schools in the country. .

Meanwhile, the Puente Ñuble Bicentennial Technical High School achieved 288 points in language and 293 in mathematics in 4th grade, and in 2nd grade, 273 in language and 273 in mathematics.

The mayor of San Nicolás, Víctor Hugo Rice, was proud of the results obtained by the students of the schools and high schools of the commune, also highlighting the fruit of the work obtained by the respective directors, directors and teachers of San Nicolás.

“Congratulations to the students and all my fellow teachers and the people who work in the educational establishments of the commune, because we have been highlighted with the best results in the different educational establishments where the vast majority increased their scores compared to the last SIMCE, which which tells us that the community’s professionals are doing their job very well,” said Mayor Rice.

Similar words were had by the administrative head of the Municipal Education Department of San Nicolás, Sergio Hernández, who expressed that he added to the words of the communal chief, mentioning that once the results are known, “we are well above the national average of SIMCE 2023, the product of a systematic work that has been carried out, and today we can point out that we actually have the best education in the region,” said the director, noting that as an administration the necessary opportunities and support will continue to be provided to continue giving continuity to the successful San Nicolas educational project.

One of the not only regional, but also national leaders of public education, the director of the San Nicolás Multipurpose School, Víctor Reyes, maintained that the results achieved, “is a clear sign that the San Nicolás model works, that there is no limit so that children can learn, dream and generate their expectations, since this SIMCE marks their path to university or higher education in general. Thank you to the families who have their trust in our educational project, and congratulations to the students and all the teachers who worked towards public education in San Nicolás.”
