In order to accompany Colombian writers in their literary dream and become a bet in the promotion of reading in the country, the publishing house “Libros Para Pensar” was born 6 years ago.
More than an editorial, this project has become an opportunity that seeks to guide writers on their creative path.
More than 200 writers have joined this project, one of them is Alina, who published her book of poetry and short story called ‘Aunque se Poco’.
“I think that poetry is healing, as a profession I am a nurse, but since I was a child I have liked to write, poetry I think is like stripping the soul, stripping the essence of each one, and somehow, capturing it in a book is the opportunity for some ailments to be cured,” said Alina María Ángel Torres, writer.
But in addition, the publishing house also bets on the training of new writers, which is why it carries out literary creation workshops that visit schools.
“¿What is a space for literary creation? It is a space of dreams, of fantasy, of promoting what moves us inside when we are readers and that is also being replicated by schools and spaces with children with young people”, indicated Édver Augusto Delgado Verano, Editorial director of Libros Para Pensar.
