The signing was made last Friday, October 13, during the 43rd Congress of the International Association of Francophone Mayors (AIMF).
On the occasion of the 43rd Congress of the International Association of Francophone Mayors (AIMF), the mayor of Libreville, General Judes Ibrahim Rapontchombo, and the mayor of Porto-Novo Charlemagne Yankoty decided to work together in areas such as: agriculture, decentralization, commercial and artisanal development, youth, infrastructure, culture, security and peace.
To this end, a signing of the Memorandum was made with the aim of establishing solid and lasting cooperation. According to the Matin Libre news site, General Judes Ibrahim Rapontchombo, mayor of Libreville, satisfied with this signing, insisted on the need to strengthen south-south cooperation in Africa for real growth.
Charlemagne Yankoty, mayor of Porto-Novo, for his part, did not fail to show his gratitude to the Consul of Benin in Gabon for having worked tirelessly to make cooperation between the two cities a reality. For him, it is important to work in favor of south-south cooperation given that the realities are the same and the option of sharing experiences can only be beneficial.
