Libertadores semifinals: Palmeiras, Boca Juniors, Inter, Fluminense – Next phase details and potential earnings

Libertadores already has its four teams confirmed in the semifinals: Palmeiras, Boca Juniors, Inter and Fluminense. The games are:

Palmeiras vs Boca Juniors

Inter x Fluminense

Next phase details

Palmeiras and Inter play the 2nd game at home. The two have better campaigns compared to Boca Juniors and Fluminense and start the dispute away from their domains.

The matches will be played mid-week on September 25 (first leg) and October 2 (return). Conmebol will define exact dates and times in the next few days – the final is scheduled for November 4 at Maracanã.

The four survivors each earned US$ 2.3 million (about R$ 11.5 million) only by classification from the quarterfinals.

Two of them will pocket at least another US$ 7 million (R$ 34.5 million) each. This is the amount given by Conmebol to the runner-up – whoever gets the cup, on the other hand, guarantees US$ 18 million (R$ 89 million) to the coffers.

Palmeiras and Boca Juniors eliminated, respectively, Deportivo Pereira and Racing yesterday. On Tuesday (29), Inter defeated Bolívar and was the first to seal the vacancy. The last known survivor was Fluminense, who dispatched Olimpia today.
