Liberec Hockey Team’s Defeat in La Coupe des Bains Tournament

Third duel in Switzerland, third defeat. After Friborg (3:4) and Ambri-Piotta (1:3), the Liberec hockey players also lost to Lausanne (2:6) and finished last in the La Coupe des Bains tournament.

The White Tigers were given the lead by Kelly Klíma from Hradec Klíma, but defender Andrea Glauser equalized in 39 seconds and Czech forward Jiří Sekáč took the lead for the home side in the opening half.

In the second period, both teams took advantage of one power play each, Jason Fuchs first increased Lausanne’s lead and Jakub Rychlovský reduced it soon after. But that was all from Liberec, its third defeat at the tournament, which eventually turned into a debacle, was underlined by Robin Kovács, Michael Hügli and Makai Holdener in the end.

Coach Filip Pešán’s team mostly kept up with their opponents during the high-quality tests on Swiss soil, but still finished last without a point. The winner is Lausanne with Jiří Sekáč in the lineup.

The North Bohemians have had six matches in preparation with a negative balance of two wins and four defeats. On Friday, the undefeated Sparta, who lost 2:3 at home at the beginning of the preparation, will appear on the ice in the extra league warm-up.
