Liberbank returns to the charge against Gema and Javi, from Dávila Park – El Faradio

Gema and Javi, the self-employed couple who three years ago managed to stop the eviction of their home in Dávila Park, are facing a new launch date.

Then they managed to stop it thanks to a call to stop evictions, as the actions to prevent the expulsion of the houses are called with the support of the activists.

And they even got assistance – prior to the stop evictions – from the Cantabrian president, Miguel Ángel Revilla.
Gema –which has become one of the voices of the PAH in recent years– and Javi will give the details of their case this Monday at a press conference, accompanied by the Santander Platform for People Affected by Mortgages (PAH), which has been accompanying since then.

And one of his lawyers, Juanma Brun, known for his fight in defense of those affected by the financial sector and, especially, for the preferred ones of Liberbank, the bank of which the former Caja Cantabria is part (now in the process of merger ). From the family and the PAH they insist that the procedure is void due to legal issues that have been elucidated since then.

On the other hand, from Cantabristas they have denounced that the valuations of homes for rent with option to buy in the promotion of May Day, in Peñacastillo, rise to 3,000 euros per square meter, which means prices of 150,000 euros for an apartment of 50 square meters.

This purchase price seeks to “prevent the purchase of your home for those who have lived in them on a rent-to-own basis for years”, at a time “when the company considers it more profitable to keep tenants for rent”, They point out from Cantabristas, who recall that this promotion of VPOs received at the time 13 million euros of public aid from the Ministry of Housing in 2010, then directed by José María Mazón, of the PRC, today a deputy in Congress, as well as the role of the Cantabrian Executive in the authorization of the operation.
