The animal association Libera denounces that a neighbor of Xunqueira de Ambía if found a hanged cat in the place of Fonte de Abaixo and states that this man is willing to report this new case of extreme cruelty to animals in court.
It is not the first time that an event of this type has been experienced in the town, since a while ago another feline appeared shot in the same area and nobody wanted to give his testimony about the possible author of the facts.
The author, notes the association, could face a crime of animal abuse resulting in death, punishable by up to 18 months in prison and special disqualification of two to four years for the exercise of profession, trade or trade related to animals and for keeping animals. Libera has announced the provision of a reward of 1,000 euros for those who know how to give data of the person responsible for the execution of the animal leading to a criminal conviction or administrative sanction.
