Lian Li Introduces Prototype DK-07: Desk PC Case with Transparent OLED Screen

Computer case manufacturer Lian Li introduced a new prototype DK-07. It follows on from the previous commercially available models DK-05F and DK-04F, where the entire computer was hidden in the table and the worktop was made of glass, so the components could be seen inside.

The DK-07 uses LG’s transparent 30″ OLED display instead of ordinary glass, which can function as a full-fledged monitor, but due to the poor angle and weathered surface, it will only be good for displaying various effects and widgets.

The table has a metal construction, is adjustable in height, and has a hidden drawer for flashlights and other small items. In addition, on the left side there is a drink holder that will maintain the temperature, or a retractable column with USB connectors.

The table itself can accommodate two computers (full E-ATX formats) including power supplies, cooling and a four-slot graphics card. Components can be cooled by up to six 120mm or five 140mm fans, optionally up to two 360mm water cooling radiators can be installed. There are also slots for 2.5″ and 3.5″ discs inside, but you can’t hide the optical drive in the table. But who still uses it today…

Because it is still only a prototype (mainly because of the display), Lian Li does not even say when and for how much the DK-07 might start selling. But you could easily ask for more than a hundred thousand crowns for such a table. DK-05F for one computer, without display and cup holder, cost well over 30,000 in our country.
