Back talent Lian Bichsel, 19, will make an attempt to break into the NHL.
If he doesn’t succeed, that speaks volumes for playing in the SHL – but not with Leksand.
Information to Sportbladet says that it is the competitor Rögle that is best suited.
Lian Bichsel ranks as one of Europe’s greatest back talents. In the NHL draft a year ago, the Swiss was taken by Dallas in the first round.
The big running back broke his ankle in a training match against Tre Kronor before the WC, but is expected to be fully recovered for the coming season.
The plan is for him to begin the season with the Dallas organization to try to earn a spot on the NHL team. If not successful, a return to Sweden and the SHL is one of the main tracks.

Since Bichsel is a first-round pick, however, it’s up to Dallas to decide his future.
Leksand would like to see a return
The last two seasons, Bichsel has played for Leksand and made a total of 71 SHL matches. Leksand’s general manager Thomas Johansson has been open that he would like to see the now contract-free Bichsel return.
But information to Sportbladet says that it is another SHL club that is first in line if Bichsel turns to Europe.
Namely Rögle.
A source even claims that it is clear that it will be Rögle if there is a game in Sweden.
