He died in Buenos Aires, aged 31, <a href="https://www.world-today-news.com/former-hairstylist-one-direction-slaps-out-of-school-entertainment/" title="Former hairstylist One Direction slaps out of school | Entertainment”>Liam Payne, former member of One Direction. According to the Argentine media, the singer fell from the balcony of a hotel where he was staying in the Argentine capital. Drugs were found in Payne’s room and according to what the reception told the police he was also under the influence of alcohol. Payne’s death is just the latest case of artists who died in mysterious circumstances after lives lived on the edge.
The most famous case Elvis Presley
The most famous case concerns Elvis Presley. The American rock star, after years of excess, officially died on August 16, 1977 of cardiac arrest. Behind the official version, however, there are many theories. The most famous is that Elvis’ death was staged to allow him to escape from a life that was now impossible to sustain.

The death of Jim Morrison in Paris
Another famous case a few years earlier: that of Jim Morrison. The leader of the Doors was found lifeless on July 3, 1971 in the house where he was staying in Paris. The official version spoke of a heart attack due to an overdose in the bathtub, but, in reality, the autopsy was never performed.

Michael Jackson, the King of Pop killed by propofol
Moving on to more recent times, in June 2009, Michael Jackson died. The king of pop died due to cardiac arrest following acute intoxication from propofol, a powerful anesthetic administered to him by a doctor under contract to AEG, the company producing the London concerts, Conrad Murray.

Amy Winehouse and the others of the ’27 club’
Another star from the music world who passed away in controversial circumstances is Amy Winehouse. The British singer, victim of alcohol and drug addictions, was 27 years old when she was found dead in bed at her home at 30 Camden Square in London on 23 July 2011, thus increasing the sad number of members of the so-called ‘club of the 27’ which also includes in addition to the aforementioned Morrison, too Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Brian Jones e Kurt Cobain.

Whitney Houston, found dead in a tub
Finally, on February 11, 2012, at the age of 48 he died Whitney Houston. The American singer would have died from an accidental drowning in the bathtub, following excessive drug intake combined with atherosclerosis.
George Michael, who died at just 53 years old
I had 53 years old when he died George Michael. Il British singer, songwriter and producer was found lifeless at his home in South Oxfordshire following a cardiac arrest. Initially it was assumed that he died due to an overdose, given the addiction problems suffered by the artist throughout his life. In reality the autopsy revealed a cardiac pathology.
Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington, two suicides two months apart
The singer of Linkin Park, Chester Benningtonhe committed suicide at his home in Palos Verdes Estates in Los Angeles County on July 20, 2017. Just two months earlier, his friend and colleague Chris Cornell had taken his own life. The voice of Soundgarden and Audioslave would have turned 53 on the day Bennington hanged himself. The two were very close and at the funeral of Chris the leader of Linkin Park had sung in his honor an emotional version of ‘Halleluja’ on Leonard Cohen. Cornell in an interview with Rolling Stone spoke thus of his moments of internal suffering: “No matter how happy you are, there are days when you wake up and for no specific reason you find yourself in a dark dimension, and there you remain.”
