Former One Direction member Liam Payne has died at the age of 31 after falling from his hotel balcony in Buenos Aires.

An hour before his death, the British singer shared a video on Snapchat, where he explained his stay in Buenos Aires. In this video recorded a few hours before his death, Liam Payne films himself having breakfast with his partner Kate Cassidy in Argentina.

“Hello everyone. (…) It’s a nice day here in Argentina. This is the breakfast table. We’re enjoying coffee and breakfast even though it’s already 1 p.m.”he confides. Kate Cassidy is then heard joking: “We sleep until at least noon every day. We are really losers”. Liam also brings up Hurricane Milton in the conversation, before concluding: “We’re going to enjoy our friend’s nice house. It’s going to be a lovely day.”.

The Daily Mail points out that it is not yet established whether Liam Payne himself posted the video on his social networks or when it was recorded. In the clip, Kate Cassidy is present at the table with him. However, she had already left Argentina on Monday, which could suggest that the video was not filmed that Wednesday.

Shortly before the singer’s tragic fall, a selfie of him and Kate was uploaded to his account, a photo that had already been shared by Cassidy on his 30th birthday.
