The New York Rangers have offered a one-season contract extension worth $ 1.75 million to forward Ryan Reaves.
The 34-year-old, who still had a year to go on his contract, had 1 goal and 5 points in 37 games with the Vegas Golden Knights last season. He was traded to Rangers on July 29 in return for a pick of 3e round and 2022.
Reaves was drafted in 5e lap (156e) by the St. Louis Blues in 2005.
Since making his NHL debut in 2010-11, he’s ranked third on the league in body hitting (2322) and seventh in major penalties (75).
In 686 NHL games with the Blues, Pittsburgh Penguins and Golden Knights, Reaves has a record of 49 goals and 101 points in addition to 937 penalty minutes.
