New boost for the SNCF network. In Cadaujac (Gironde), at the beginning of December 2023, houses are being demolished.
The work is expected to last until February. It provides for the destruction of four houses, sold a few years ago for promote installation of the LGV Bordeaux — Toulouse.
Demolition to create an LGV access road

On social networks, anti-LGV associations are outraged. Among them, the LGVEA association. “While the appeal against the extension of the declaration of public utility was filed on November 28, 2022 before the administrative court of Bordeaux by LGVEA and other co-applicants, demolition work has begun. They are playing for time,” chants Simon, one of the anti-LGV, contacted by The Republican.
An appeal in progress, but the project continues…
Before continuing: “The prefecture had two months to respond to the administrative court, but still no news. » Indeed, despite this appeal, the demolition can continue. The mayor of Cadaujac, against the LGV, declares thatit is impossible to hinder this work : “Despite this ongoing procedure, these demolitions are not suspensive. »
The four homes which will be destroyed, including a former barrier guard’s house, were bought by the SNCF amicably, while the LGV project was still in its embryonic state a few years ago.
Meeting with SNCF network
A public meeting is organized at the Cadaujac village hall on December 18 with SNCF network, “the opportunity for those who have questions to come and ask them and obtain precise answers”, says the first magistrate. This meeting is organized by the vigilance committee, supervised by elected officials and anti-LGV associations.
