LG UltraGear 32GQ950P Gaming Monitor Review: Specs, Features, and Price

Company LG has another new gaming monitor on offer. His name is UltraGear 32GQ950P and has a 31.5″ IPS-type panel. It offers a high UHD 4K resolution (3840÷2160 pixels) at a high frequency of 144 Hz, however, thanks to the overclocking option, it is possible to drive the frequency up to 160 Hz (on DisplayPort). It is a 10-bit monitor that supports 1 .07 billion color shades. Its typical brightness is 450 nits, it covers 98% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. The contrast is then the traditional 1000:1, the response is 1 ms GTG. It supports HDR10 and even DisplayHDR 1000 (so it must be locally capable of reaching up to 1000 nits). The monitor is factory calibrated.

For gamers, we have both AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync Compatible synchronization technology, Black Stabilizer, Crosshair, FPS Counter are also available. Interestingly, however, it does not support PIP or PBP, which is a common feature of many monitors today. In terms of connectivity, there are two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort. Again, it’s interesting that we don’t have USB-C or Thunderbolt here, but there are no speakers either. Gamers will certainly appreciate the 4-pin audio jack for headphones with a microphone. The monitor has a typical consumption of 85 W, the maximum is 200 W. The novelty will offer the possibility of adjusting the height and tilt, we also have a pivot function and the possibility of mounting it on the wall (VESA 100x100mm). The price was set at 999.98 British pounds (CZK 28,000 with VAT).
