This is what LG did through its Self-Lit campaign in London, England. And this is not the first, because they believe in the philosophy of “Art Inspires Technology, Technology Completes Arts,”.
The difference is, in this contemporary art campaign, LG seeks to bring a different experience through the concept of Self-Lit Masterpiece and Self-Lit Museum.
They collaborate with a number of artists to create interesting art visuals in TV OLED . “With high accuracy, color reproduction, texture, and contrast, the artworks displayed truly match the vision that the creators brought,” they wrote.
The TV used is LG Signature OLED R , the world’s first rollable TV. Also, the LG Signature OLED 8K, as well as the LG G1.
Indeed, the experience that visitors get is very unique and majestic, when the giant TV screen emits a light that is so bright, sharp, and sparkling in the midst of darkness. There are TVs that are hung, some are arranged irregularly, stacked into a giant screen that displays a single image, to a curved screen.
By the end of this year, LG said it wanted to expand its Self-Lit activities. One of them is in collaboration with Lux, the New Wave of Contemporary Art Exhibition. This exhibition will take place at 180 The Strand which is the heart of the creative community in the city of London.
