There is a little more than a week left until CES kicks off, but LG has chosen to showcase the 2024 models in its gram laptop series already now. In addition to newer models of the old range, the South Korean company is also introducing a new gram Pro model. All the computers should have access to AI functions in the LG gram Link app, and the Pro models also have extra support via Intel’s neuron processor Intel AI Boost.

The LG gram Pro will be launched with screen sizes of 16 and 17 inches, the larger model will only be available with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels, while the 16-incher can also be had with a resolution of 2880×1800 pixels. The screens with the lower resolution have a frame rate of 31-144 Hz, while the sharper version of the 16 inch screen “only” has a frequency of 48-120 Hz.

You will be able to choose between equipping the LG gram Pro with either Intel’s integrated Arc graphics card, or a dedicated Nvidia RTX 3050 card. The computers support up to 32 GB of memory, the storage options are 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB.
The LG gram Pro 2-in-1 is the gram series laptop/tablet alternative. It’s only available with a 16-inch screen, and shares pretty much all the specs with the regular 16-inch LG gram Pro, including the ability to choose between screens with different resolutions. In contrast, the LG gram Pro 2-in-1 only has the integrated Intel Arc as a graphics card option.

In terms of sockets on the computers, both the LG gram Pro and the LG gram Pro 2-in-1 have 2 second generation usb 3.2 ports, 2 third generation usb 4 ports with Power Delivery, DisplayPort and Thunderbolt 4, as well as an hdmi 2.1 port.
In addition to the various Pro models, LG is also launching new laptops in the usual gram series. There will be 14-, 15-, 16- and 17-inch options, the 14-incher has a screen resolution of 1920×1200 pixels, the 15-inch model has a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, and the two largest 16- and 17-inch options have a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels. The screens in all models have a frame rate of 60 Hz, but the screens in the two larger models can be upgraded to 31-144 Hz instead.
The four gram models all have the integrated Intel Arc graphics card, and will be available with either 8GB, 16GB or 32GB of memory. You can choose between 256 GB, 512 GB, 1 TB or 2 TB of storage.
When sales of the new LG gram computers will begin, the company has not announced yet.
