LG has introduced two new MyView smart monitors in the Republic of Korea. The new products have model numbers 32SR70U and 32SR83U, and are designed to perform several functions at once: as a TV for watching movies, TV series and videos without connecting to a PC or laptop, and also as a monitor in the home office.

LG MyView monitors feature 32-inch IPS panels with 4K resolution, covering 95 percent of the DCI-P3 color space. It is worth noting that the panel refresh rate in both cases is limited to 60 Hz. Logical. that devices do not support features such as AMD FreeSync.

The new products are equipped with an adapted version of WebOS 23, which allows you to surf the Internet and view streaming content from popular applications like Disney+ or YouTube without connecting a personal computer. If the user decides to use the devices as a monitor, they can connect a laptop or PC via the USB-C port, which supports fast charging with Power Delivery technology, although it is limited to 45W output for the 32SR70U. Other features include support for Apple AirPlay 2 and Miracast wireless streaming, Bluetooth headphone connectivity, and control via LG ThinQ apps.

Compared to the cheaper 32SR70U, the 32SR83U has a thinner frame and a stand that allows you to adjust the screen position. LG MyView 32SR70U and 32SR83U smart monitors will be available in the Republic of Korea on December 27 for 699,000 won (~$537) and 749,000 won (~$576), respectively. There is no word yet on when they will appear in other markets.
