LG has unveiled next year’s OLED screens from its premium series UltraFine. This time, a smaller 27-inch model is also added to the series for professional work.
LG is following up on its professional OLED display screens it introduced to its UltraFine family last year. The first round consisted of a single 31.5-inch monitor with 4K resolution. Now this gets a sequel and that you expand the range with a smaller model of 27 inches.
The sequel to the 32-inch model does not differ much from last year’s model. It still has a color depth of 10-bit, a refresh rate of 60 Hz and 99 percent of the CDI-P3 color spectrum. Along with a 1,000,000: 1 contrast and VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black certification. Not directly the highest brightness but still HDR albeit with difficulty. The contrast hopefully outweighs some.
The smaller model of 27 inches comes with the same specifications as its larger sibling. Both monitors also come with USB-C connections with 90 W power supply and four additional USB ports. Dual DisplayPort connections and an HDMI connection are what users have to choose from when it comes to video connections.
An interesting aspect is that LG includes both a screen hood that hopefully reduces disturbing elements in bright environments and a sensor for color calibration with the screens. However, it has not been said exactly which model. LG also ships with its LG Studio Calibration software for the purpose of color calibration.
The manufacturer has not confirmed any price tags for these new OLED screens. Their current 32-inch Ultrafine OLED display carries a price tag of around $ 4,000. It would probably not surprise many if the sequel gets a price tag in the same area. The smaller model of 27 inches should be slightly cheaper.
