What incorrect information. I recommend that you buy a wireless keyboard with a 3000mAh battery in it. That thing can work for a year with such a battery, but turns on the LED and your battery goes flat in a week (and that’s with a timeout where the lights quickly turn off at 0 activity).

The purpose of RGB keyboards is to make the keys more readable. But by equipping the keys with RGB, they are less readable if the LEDs are not on. Maz, it’s not a “make everyone happy with this”. You are actually forced to have the LEDs on.

Where a good white double cap key is extremely readable in most light environments. If you work in an environment where it’s so dark that you really need RGB light on your keyboard, then you’re in an environment that is HUGE bad for your eyes.

Someone has a 3080 and is connected to the mains all the time, is not relevant because those RGB are on all types of laptops, from gaming laptops that are constantly hanging on the wall to real work laptops where battery life is important.

I have an RGB keyboard here that is constantly cycling between all colors. Do you want to turn that off and just have white? Then you MUST install Logitech’s software which is full of stuff eating CPU cycles before God knows what.

I don’t understand the logic that “gaming” laptops, PCs and monitors have to look like they are made for 5 year old kids mer rgb everywhere, color like a lego set and often shapes with huge waste in laptop or pc design. While the people who buy gaming laptops are often older and often want a more neutral laptop.

You could argue that this helps sales but if so, why have we seen a huge swing in the PC desktop market from more elegant case designs, things with glass, beautiful shapes etc, where a gaming desktop used to be something that looks like? looked like lego made it. But when it comes to laptops, we are still lagging behind with more “gaming” accents. Extremely difficult because sometimes you want a laptop that can be used for work and private life. Go into a meeting with such a laptop and everyone looks strange. As a result, you are almost forced to go for systems because of the non-neutral design.

RGB is all well and good if you can turn it off but you can’t “turn off” many elements such as certain colors, shape, massive “gaming logos” etc. Funnily enough, certain laptop manufacturers are where you have to pay for a gaming laptop WITHOUT that logo. Yes, that’s a paid “option”. One can safely make a sticker or addon for gaming laptops where you have the choice but no. It must be the upside-down world again. Same with RGB keyboards on laptops. Choise? Did not you. Not necessary? Bad luck, you pay for it anyway.
