LG OLED televisions are a popular choice among gamers. The panel with OLED technology has great features including fast response, high contrast and perfect black. At the same time, the TV supports HDMI 2.1 and 120 Hz. This year’s generation will be no different.
LG recently introduced the G3 and C3 OLED evo models. The G3 Gallery Edition series belongs to premium televisions. It will offer a very minimalistic frame along the screen and the possibility of mounting it on the wall without a gap between the wall and the television. This year, LG has gone for a composite fiber material, which reduces overall weight and makes assembly easier.
Both models get the 6th generation α9 processor with improved machine learning for image upscaling. This year, the manufacturer also focused on better enjoyment of HDR thanks to the OLED Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro function. The technology divides the image into 20,000 areas and analyzes their brightness.
LG OLED G3
OLED televisions usually suffer from poorer brightness compared to, for example, QLED panels. Therefore, the LG OLED evo G3 series received the Brightness Booster Max technology, allowing for a brightness increase of up to 70%. The webOS system has gained quick bookmarks in the menu or categorical sorting of settings such as office, games, music or sports.
In the office tab, we find applications for productivity, including cloud solutions including Windows 365 or programs for video calls. Televisions support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, new soundbars with IMAX Enhanced Sound and DTS:X support can also be connected.
Of course, games were not forgotten either. The 0.1 ms response of the OLED panel will please even the most demanding gamers, as will the four HDMI 2.1 with a speed of 48 Gb/s. There is also G-Sync, AMD FreeSync Premium and variable refresh rate with HGiG mode.
The TV will arrive on the market in May and we know all the available diagonals and prices. Smallest LG OLED C3 with a diagonal of 42 inches will cost 37,490 crowns. For the 83-inch G3, you will pay 187,490 crowns.
