The year 2024 will also be marked by fast monitors OLED. Several companies have already announced them, and it can be assumed that CES 2024 will be full of them. It’s just LG has now announced that it will launch 6 new OLED models with a high refresh rate of 240 Hz. All of them cover 98.5% of the DCI-P3 space, have a contrast ratio of 1.5M:1 and a response time of 0.03ms GTG. The monitors support VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400, manage synchronization technologies G-Sync Compatible and FreeSync Premium Pro, we also find two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 and a 4-pole audio jack with support for DTS Headphone:X.
There will be various models on offer, e.g. 27GS95QE with 26.5″ 1440p display and 32″ 32GS95UE, which will bring up to 4K resolution. This monitor is probably the most interesting, as it not only supports 4K at 240 Hz, but can increase the frequency up to 480 Hz in the lower Full HD resolution. It also has an advanced Pixel Sound Technology sound system with a subwoofer. There are also three very similar models with an aspect ratio of 21:9, namely 34″ 34GS95QE39″ 39GS95QE a 44,5″ 45GS95QE, where they all have a resolution of 3440×1440 pixels and a curvature of 800R. The latter will also exist in a variant 45GS96QBwhich will bring a USB-C port with 65W PD and speakers that the other models (with the exception of 32″) lack.
