LG Announces 2024 QNED TV Range with MiniLED Technology and Million Gray Scale Feature

This topic was written by Sultan Al-Qahtani – LG has announced that its 2024 QNED TV range will also be updated with miniLED technology in some versions such as the latest QNED90, which is set to support the new Million Gray Scale feature, which, as the name suggests, is rated for reproduction.

The new TVs are also touted to build on QNED’s reputation for ‘authentic’ NanoCell colors with ‘ultimate’ quality-enhancing LG AI Picture Pro algorithms, which are rated to recognize various subjects such as faces, objects and landscapes to enhance their accurate picture.

Meanwhile, Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro will also “deliver 3D picture quality” by detecting extremes of light and shadow in real-time and then “elevate” them with “precise HDR function optimization.”

QNED 2024 devices will also support a custom image processor, a method of training the device to enhance certain details or selected subjects through deep learning.

These features will be powered by the new LG alpha8 processor, which is described as offering a “1.3x increase in AI performance” compared to its predecessor.

The TVs will also come with AI Sound Pro, rated to emulate “virtual 9.1.2 surround sound” from the built-in speakers, as well as a WOW Orchestra feature to orchestrate any external speakers or LG soundbars around it in an “enchanting 3D audio experience.”

Furthermore, LG announced that its 2024 QNED TVs will be available in 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch and 86-inch sizes, in addition to the “mega” 98-inch flagship model.

The TVs will be on display alongside OLED displays at LG’s booth at the CES event at the Las Vegas Convention Center from January 9-12, 2024.
