Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – At the 2024 Consumer Electronic Show (CES), many sophisticated devices were shown. Including transparent TVs from LG and Samsung.
LG is bringing the OLED T which it calls the first wireless transparent OLED TV. This device is equipped with 4K resolution and wireless transmission technology for audio and video.
Engadget reported the appearance of objects as if they were coming out of a transparent TV. Meanwhile the video clip is said to be clear and clear.
This TV is equipped with a box at the bottom. This is for a screen that can be rolled up and down with the press of a button.
OLED T uses the Alpha 11 AI processor. The company claims graphics performance is 70% better and processing is 30% faster, quoted Wednesday (10/1/2024).
This TV has a T-Bar feature containing information such as news, weather, and song titles. While other parts without features remain transparent.
LG did not reveal the price of the OLED T. The company only promised that the TV would be sold this year.
Meanwhile, Samsung showed off a transparent MicroLED screen on the CES stage this time. MicroLED makes the screen appear brighter and has a frameless design with a glass panel.
Engadget likened Samsung’s transparent TV to a hologram floating in the air. The screen is only one centimeter thick with sharp images.
With higher brightness, a Samsung spokesperson said this MicroLED screen will be less affected by the surrounding light.
Unlike LG, Samsung has announced the price of the transparent screen. You need to prepare US$ 150 thousand (Rp. 2.3 billion) to be able to take home the 110 inch model.
