Changwon LG, a professional basketball player with six players and coaches who violated the corona 19 quarantine rules and had a drink, was punished with a sanction of 10 million won.

KBL held a financial committee at the KBL Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 31st, and imposed a sanction of 10 million won on LG clubs that did not comply with the measures to strengthen the COVID-19 quarantine. It imposed a sanction of 1 million won on coach Park Jae-hyun, and 500,000 won on coaches Kim Dong-ryang, coaches Lee Byeong-seok and Choi Seung-tae, and Kim Chan-hoon and Ma Young-bu trainers.

It was revealed that these six had a drink at a pub in downtown Changwon, Gyeongnam on the night of the 29th. Kim Dong-yang, who had recently fallen into a slump, was at a dinner meeting with the coaches, and six people had a drink after breaking the rules for banning groups of five or more. The LG club said the day before, “I am sorry for the club’s fault without any excuses. To prevent recurrence, we will thoroughly train the athletes.”

KBL explained the background of the disciplinary action, saying, “It was determined that it was a serious issue, and it was to prevent recurrence of similar situations.”
