LFF removes additional restrictions in the rules of attending games – Football

Previously, as of July 12, it was determined that no more than 30% of the total seating area in the stadium area could be filled during all competitions organized by LFF, at the same time setting the maximum number of people in the stadium area – 250 people. Such additional precautionary measures followed the recording of several cases of Covid-19 among the participants of the recent LFF congress and in two Premier League championship clubs.

Since the first case was diagnosed, the LFF has organized centralized testing of LFF employees, Premier League clubs, referees and other persons involved in the organization of games, with a total of around 850 inspections. No new cases in addition to those previously known have been identified.

Taking into account the current situation, with regard to changes in the rules for attending games, the Premier League Organizing Committee and the LFF Competition Organizing Committee have decided to return to the previous procedure, determining:

  • All requirements regarding the location of spectators, competition participants and organizers in the venues of the Premier League and other competition games organized by the LFF, including the maximum number of spectators, shall be fulfilled in accordance with the Cabinet of Ministers (CM) Regulations No. 360 “Epidemiological safety measures to control the spread of Covid-19 infection”;
  • In all stadiums where LFF competitions are organized, the maximum number of spectators allowed for the club of the hosts must be determined in such a way that the point of the Cabinet of Ministers regulations regarding the area of four square meters per spectator can be fulfilled.

This procedure shall enter into force on 21 July.

The relevant regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers stipulate that currently up to 1,000 people can gather outdoors during events, providing that at least four square meters of space is provided for one person. The specified maximum number of persons does not include game participants, service staff and game organizers.

“On behalf of the LFF, I would like to thank the specialists of the Centers for Disease Prevention and Control (SPKC), the Emergency Medical Service (NMPD) and the Central Laboratory for their extremely responsive attitude, both in advising us in this difficult situation and in providing great practical support. Conscious and prompt involvement of the affected clubs to identify and normalize the situation as quickly as possible. “It is with this goal that the sanitary protocol of the competitions organized by LFF continues to operate, the observance of which must continue to be the focus of all clubs, participants of the games and their visitors,” says LFF Secretary General Edgars Pukinsks.
