Less than three years after the launch of the first electric model, Lexus brings important updates: the battery will have a range of 450 km.
Lexus launched its first electric car model three years ago. Electric cars are slowly conquering the world stage.
Almost all car manufacturers every year launch new electric models with important innovations. The one promoted by Lexus concerns the battery of the model UX 300e. The SUV is also updated with important innovations introduced on other models such as the Model Year 2003 of the Hybrid which was presented only a few months ago.
The UC 300e battery: autonomy for 450 km
One of the great innovations brought by Lexus concerns the battery of one of its models: we are talking about the Japanese Bev. The battery has been boosted by 40%: the capacity, therefore, goes from 54.4 to 72.8 kWh and can travel 450 km in comfort. A nice step ahead of the 315 km of the outgoing version.
The electric motor remains unchanged and there are none performance related changes. In addition to the battery, the House also announced improvements regarding the telazio and the specific adjustments on the trim and the power steering.
The Lexus UX300 also has some updates of the Hybrid version, in order to be much more efficient also in terms of on-board equipment.
These new features are: the recognition of cyclists (during the day) and that of pedestrians (even at night) for the Pre-Collision System; an improvement of the Dynamic Radar Cruise Control for the management of curves and the addition of the Emergency Steering AssistLane Tracing Assist and Emergency Driving Stop System.
From a purely technological point of view, the car was equipped with the Digital Key and the Panoramic View Monitor. The 12.3 ″ touch screen is now able to manage updates remotely and to take advantage of a totally renewed operating system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto standards.
