George Russell (22) was on his way yesterday to score a World Cup point in Formula 1 for the first time in his career. The young racing driver was in 10th position with his Williams, but behind the safety car he suddenly started messing with a crash as a result.
Russell was inconsolable and very embarrassed. “I don’t know what to say,” said the F1 driver. “Suddenly I was in the wall. This must be the biggest mistake in my career.”
On Instagram, Lewis Hamilton Russell is helping. “George, it’s okay to make mistakes,” writes the winner of 93 grand prixs. “I’ve made more than I remember.”
“You’re a great guy. Come on and on to the next race!”
