After the tribute edition to Karl Lagerfeld, that of the “sleeping beauties” or the golden age, it is time for the Met Gala to highlight another fashion culture with a theme dedicated to the men’s fashion of the community black. “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”, i.e. “Superfine: adapting the black style” is the instruction that must be respected next May during the gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
And like every year, Anna Wintour will be well surrounded for this edition. Who better to carry this theme than the community’s most stylish stars? The popess of fashion thus called on Pharrell Williams (artistic director Louis Vuitton men’s collections since 2023), Lewis Hamilton (seven-time Formula 1 world champion with a style that goes beyond the limits of the paddock), A$AP Rocky (rapper turned stylist, having collaborated with Dior or Calvin Klein before developing his own brand) and Colman Domingo (which makes each red carpet outing a fashion moment in its own right) to be co-presidents of this edition.
