Lewis Capaldi Struggling to Find Builder for £1.6 Million Farmhouse Found by Ed Sheeran

Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi is having trouble finding builders to help him turn his new home into something livable. The house was purchased with the help of pop superstar Ed Sheeran, but Capaldi says the property is a “hell hole” and is struggling to find tradesmen to take on the task of renovating it. Despite his success in the music industry, it seems that even Capaldi is not immune to the challenges of home improvement. In this article, we’ll delve into the story of Capaldi’s new home, the issues he’s facing, and what it means for the singer’s future in the industry.

Lewis Capaldi has been struggling to find a builder to renovate his £1.6 million farmhouse, which was purchased with the aid of Ed Sheeran three years ago. Despite his new pal’s help, Capaldi discovered that the property stank of smoke and dog, and was not to his taste decor-wise. As a result, he opted to move into a flat in the city instead, leaving the rural home in ruin. In an interview with US Radio, Capaldi revealed that he has struggled to find help. Potential builders have reportedly turned down his generous offers of remuneration, stating that the project isn’t for them.

Capaldi joked that Sheeran has “burdened” his life by suggesting the purchase in the first place, although his friend did subsequently offer to buy the property off him. However, despite Ed’s public declaration, Capaldi claims to have heard nothing further from him about the matter. The Scottish musician played one of Sheeran’s songs for his parents when he was just 13, and he recently experienced a full-circle moment when the hitmaker performed “Someone You Loved” at his sold-out show.

Ed Sheeran’s tribute to Capaldi after the latter advised his fans to go and purchase Sheeran’s album on This Morning was a surprise moment of appreciation for Capaldi. In response to the tribute, Capaldi posted a home video of himself singing “Small Bump” when he was 13 years old. He also posted a clip of Sheeran playing a cover of “Someone You Loved” to 20,000 people, captioned: “Ed Sheeran playing my song to 20,000 people all these years later… Seems like a fair trade-off tbh @teddysphotos x.”

Capaldi and Sheeran have teamed up frequently in the past, with the latter likening Capaldi to Gerry Cinnamon and admiring his musical delivery on one occasion. While the renovation of Capaldi’s farm remains stalled for the time being, it seems likely that the singer will eventually find a contractor willing to take on the project. Despite the setbacks, the musician is full of enthusiasm for his work and his ambitious plans for the future.
