Robert Lewandowski may miss Poland’s home game with the Dutch national team in the Nations League on Wednesday. According to various Polish media, the 32-year-old striker has suffered a muscle injury from Sunday’s lost away match against Italy (2-0).

Lewandowski played the entire game against Italy. The attacker was visibly annoyed by his team’s weak play and escaped a red card when he hit an opponent with an elbow. According to some Polish newspapers, the injury of Bayern Munich’s top scorer is not too bad. Lewandowski would be especially annoyed by the tactical choices of national coach Jerzy Brzeczek.

Poland still has a small chance of winning the pool of the Nations League, just like the Netherlands. Both teams can still end at the top of the group if Italy makes an error during the away match against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
