Zurich (dpa / lby) – Bayern Munich’s star striker Robert Lewandowski can hope for the next personal award tonight. The Pole is one of the three finalists in FIFA’s world footballer elections. The 33-year-old could be named the best player of the year for the second time in a row at the online gala. His rivals are Argentinian Lionel Messi from Paris Saint-Germain and Egyptian Mohamed Salah from Liverpool FC.
National team captain Manuel Neuer from FC Bayern Munich can hope for the prize from the goalkeepers. Thomas Tuchel, who won the Champions League with Chelsea last season, is one of the finalists in the choice of coach.
