Robert Lewandowski Saturday has it Bundesligarecord of Gerd Müller equaled, but the Polish goal getter of Bayern Munich was not completely against the visor Sc freiburg. Eintracht Frankfurt painfully went into the boat against Klaas-Jan Huntelaar’s Schalke 04, while it is still unclear who will relegate directly with Die Königsblauen.
SC Freiburg – Bayern Munich 2-2
Bayern Munich was already crowned champion of Germany last week, but especially for Lewandowski there was still something at stake against SC Freiburg. The Pole has set his sights on the record of Gerd Müller, who scored no less than 40 times for Bayern in the 1971/72 season. The 32-year-old Lewandowski was already level with after 26 minutes The bomber by cashing in a penalty. However, he will also be somewhat disappointed: he missed big chances on his 41st goal due to good goalkeeping work by the Dutchman Mark Flekken.
Partly because of this, Freiburg took a point against The record champion. Manuel Gulde made it 1-1 before half time, after which Christian Gunter also canceled Leroy Sané’s 1-2 nine minutes before the end. Freiburg can therefore hope to participate in European football, although that seems to be a big job.

Lewandowski had a huge opportunity to also break Gerd Müller’s record today. Mark Flekken first saves his shot, but the chance after that … ???? pic.twitter.com/K56eOI897Q

Bayer Leverkusen – Union Berlin 1-1
Bayer Leverkusen will be active in Europe next season anyway. The Werkself secured a Europa League ticket through a 1-1 draw against Union Berlin. Leverkusen took the lead in the 27th minute via child prodigy Florian Wirtz. The visitors from Berlin came back to 1-1 via Joel Pohjanpalo, but Leverkusen does not have much pain from that. Union Berlin is now on track for seventh place, good for a place in the Conference League. During the last round of play, Borussia Mönchengladbach and VfB Stuttgart can also pass in addition to Freiburg. The head-to-head game between those last two teams was won 1-2 by Stuttgart.
Schalke 04 – Eintracht Frankfurt 4-3
Schalke 04 has already been relegated from the Bundesliga, but has dealt a hefty blow to Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday in the battle for the Champions League places. The royal blues won at home 4-3, partly due to a goal by Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. The Dutch striker missed a penalty after fifteen minutes, but it was still hit in the rebound. Eintracht then reversed the score, but after the break Schalke was loose. Blendi Idrizi – on a pass from Huntelaar -, Florian Flick and Matthew Hoppe increased the score: 4-2. Andre Silva’s connection goal was of no use to Eintracht, which fails to pass number four Borussia Dortmund. The black and yellow and VfL Wolfsburg can therefore secure Champions League participation on Sunday.
Relegation battle
Who directly relegates with Schalke will be decided during the last round of play. Werder Bremen lost 2-0 to FC Augsburg and drops to place sixteen. FC Köln played a scoreless draw against Hertha BSC and therefore has one point less than Bremen: 30 to 31 points. Arminia Bielefeld climbs to place fifteen with a 1-1 draw against Hoffenheim, but is certainly not yet safe with 32 points.
