Representatives of Levita Aiva Rozenberga informed LETA, evaluating the data published by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (SPKC) on the prevalence of Covid-19 in European countries, the representatives of the President of Latvia and German President Frank Walter Steinmeier mutually agreed to postpone the visit. A new date for the visit will be agreed.
Taking into account the data of the SPKC, the President has also decided not to attend the economic forum in Poland scheduled for September 8.
Levit has a very active agenda in Latvia in the near future.
As reported, the Chancellery of the President had now announced a postponed visit to Germany on Thursday, while SPKC data on Germany were published on Friday. According to these data, Germany is also included in the list of countries from which, upon arrival in Latvia, two weeks of self-isolation must be observed.
