Prague – The Leverkusen footballers entered the league phase of the Champions League with a clear 4-0 win at Feyenoord Rotterdam in a battle between two future opponents of Sparta Prague. Goalkeeper Matěj Kovář remained on the bench of the winning team, another Czech representative Patrik Schick intervened in the game from the 62nd minute. Two more opponents of the reigning Czech champions appeared in the evening matches. Atlético Madrid beat Leipzig 2:1 at home after a turnaround, Brest beat Sturm Graz by the same score in their European cup debut. Barcelona lost 1:2 in Monaco in a long slump. Arsenal were held to a goalless draw at the stadium of last season’s Europa League winners Bergamo.
