Level -1 of the Cœur de ville underground car park is still closed to the public, announced the company Q-Park which manages the equipment.
This closure follows the fire which broke out on Wednesday August 2, on a vehicle at 5:25 p.m. The flames had spread to a second vehicle which also burned.
Two vehicles caught fire in the Q-Park car park, boulevard Chasles, in Chartres
Forty-three firefighters from the centers of Chartres and around had been mobilized on this fire which occurred at the level of the exit of the theater, on the boulevard Chasles, in Chartres.
Fifteen people had been evacuated and eleven were completely unharmed.
“The car park was able to reopen at 8 p.m. the same day, in complete safety for the public”, specifies Q-Park.
Only the Scattered exit is available
“To date, all entrances are accessible and levels -2 and -3 are open. Level -1 remains closed for the moment and only the Place des Épars exit is available, ”specifies the delegate.

“Various expert assessments are underway, where they will begin, to determine the repairs to be carried out in order to make the spaces on level -1 and the exit at Boulevard de la Courtille available as soon as possible”.
