Levante Femenino begins a Champions League year today. The granotas, who finished third in the league championship last year, started training this morning for this exciting season at the Ciudad Deportiva de Buñol.
Six will be the weeks of preparation that José Luís Sánchéz Vera will have ahead of them before embarking on the trip to Enschede (Netherlands). In Dutch lands they will face the first qualifying phase for the UEFA Women’s Champions League 2023-24. There they will face Icelandic Stjarnan on Wednesday, September 6.

All the new faces have been present in training except for Gabi Nunes who is at the 2023 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand. Other blaugranas present at the World Cup are Alba Redondo, Mayra Ramírez and Nunes’ own teammate, Antonia Silva. In the next few days the club will announce the tests that will lie ahead to prepare for the first phase.
