BREISGAU-S-BAHN

No consideration for those switching
A reader wrote about the transfer station of the Breisgau-S-Bahn in Gottenheim:

It’s about the tiresome topic of DB Regio from Freiburg to Breisach or Endingen am Kaiserstuhl. I don’t know how to be so rude with customers. As has often happened, on Monday, August 17th, the train coming from Freiburg arrives in Gottenheim with a one-minute delay. Around 20 people are running trying to get to the transfer platform to Endingen through the underpass. Once there, puffing, the train is still standing, but no longer opens the doors and starts a little later. Allegedly, the driver smiled in amusement.

There are people who depend on the connection because they have to go to work, not to mention the elderly or disabled. By telephone we wanted to get rid of our displeasure at DB Regio, but were downright snapped at: “The driver decides” was the snotty answer. In the next train we wanted to find out the name of the driver, after all the colleagues in Nimburg wave to each other in a friendly manner, but even then we only got to hear that there was no time now, the train stood still for three minutes. Sure, you protect your colleagues … but here, too, the sound makes the music.

It’s not fun to take the train, what high horse are they on? Hopefully a lot more people will complain – yes, it’s annoying and time consuming, but maybe a little bit gets into those minds.Angelika Hahn, Teningen
