JAKARTA – Police chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo wrote to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to request that he be able to recruit employees of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) who did not pass the national insight test (TWK) to become National Police ASN. The request bore fruit, because Jokowi agreed.
According to Listyo, he wrote to President Jokowi last Friday. The purpose of the request to withdraw KPK employees is to meet the needs of the Polri organization regarding the development of tasks at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit, especially Corruption Crimes. Where, there are additional tasks related to prevention efforts and other efforts carried out in order to oversee the Covid-19 prevention program as well as national economic recovery and other strategic policies.
“Therefore, we have sent a letter to the president asking for 56 people who carried out the TWK test who did not pass the test and were not inducted into KPK ASN so that we can withdraw them and then we will recruit them to become Polri ASN,” he said, Tuesday (28/9/ 2021).

According to Listyo, President Jokowi replied to the letter on September 27 through the Minister of State Secretary in writing. Where, in principle, in reply to the letter, President Jokowi agreed that 56 KPK employees could become National Police ASNs.
“Of course we have to follow up to coordinate with the Menpan RB and BKN. Therefore, the process is currently underway, what kind of mechanism we are discussing to recruit 56 people to become National Police ASN, why is that we look at the track record and experience of Corruption, which is certainly useful to strengthen the organization we are developing, strengthen the Polri organization,” he concluded.
