The government is enhancing the display industry by including it in the national strategic technologies. As China’s offensive intensifies, it has to compete with the technology gap, but expectations for the transparent viewing field are high.

In the display market, China took the top spot last year with over 40% market share in this area by promoting cost-effective LCDs.
Korea is shrinking LCDs and focusing on the high value-added OLED market, which occupies more than 70%.
After semiconductors, batteries and vaccines, the government has added the display industry as a national strategic technology and has decided to give tax breaks to research and development and investment in facilities starting next year.
