“Childhood is the ground on which we will walk all our lives”, according to Brazilian novelist Lya Luft. This is why several municipalities have organized a series of meetings dedicated to toddlers and their families. “After a succession of contradictory health protocols, we must continue to be attentive to young people and caring with our elders”, assures the mayor LR of Anglet Claude Olive. All week long, the city of seven steeples offers family yoga, reading with the little ones, magic shows and conferences. Christine Arsa, Angloy municipal councilor in charge of early childhood, recalled the municipality’s strong desire to support families.
Like a Anglet, the cities of Ciboure and Saint Jean de Luz organized various activities. National Early Years Week has three goals:
– Promote the artistic and cultural awakening of children from 3 months through educational workshops
– Enlighten parents on the fundamental issues related to this period of life and encourage them in their role
– Promote the work of early childhood professionals.
