As part of the campaign Let’s get humanity back healthy!the Fédération de la santé du Québec (FSQ-CSQ) and all of its affiliated unions send out a cry from the heart to the population and to all of Québec’s elected officials.
After many years of upheaval in the health and social services network, due to inhuman reforms, unacceptable austerity measures and, now, health crises that we must collectively face, it is essential to find more humanity in our public health services.
Our network is very close to the breaking point. Both the population of Quebec and health personnel are suffering from the current very difficult conditions.
More than ever, we need health personnel to provide the services and care required by the population of Quebec. We have no choice: we have to bring workers back into the public health network as quickly as possible, and make sure they stay there. To do this, we must immediately rebuild people’s trust by implementing more humane, fair and sustainable solutions. The future of public services depends directly on the improvement of the exercise and working conditions of health personnel.
What’s more, the workers know what they want, what they no longer want and demand that the government really listen and cooperate!
Both for the staff and for the patients, he urges to find a more human health system. The government must make it its priority
