Before boarding to Tokyo, Letícia Bufoni made history. This Saturday, the skateboarder won the gold medal at the California stage of the X-Games, in the United States, her fifth title in the street modality. With that, she became the biggest winner of the category in the history of the tournament — it was the sixth gold medal for the Brazilian athlete.
She shared the podium with American Samaarria Brevard, who took silver, and Poe Pinson, who won bronze. Letícia also became the woman with the most medals in the history of X-Games, with 11 in total.
Letícia got the gold in her last lap, which had practically perfect execution and earned enough points to overtake her opponents and take the gold.
