Mark Jefimov, member of the board of the KE Youth Council
Young people have always been the driving force of society, shaping the future and influencing the present moment. In Estonia, thousands of young people have found like-minded people and the opportunity to make their voices heard in the Central Party’s Youth Committee.
The Central Youth is more than just a youth section of the party. This is a place where young people can work together, learn, and of course have an interesting time. Well-known politicians such as Jüri Ratas, Kadri Simson, Tanel Kiik, Vladimir Svet and many others have become members of the organization.
The main goal of the Central Party’s Youth Council is to involve young people in political processes and offer them opportunities to develop themselves. The Youth Association has initiated several interesting initiatives. For example, a campaign has recently been launched with the aim of drawing attention to the problem of food waste and promoting legislative changes that would help reduce the amount of food waste in Estonia.
The traditional events of the Youth Council, such as summer days and winter school, are only a small part of the events where middle-aged people can discuss political issues, listen to the opinions of politicians and learn and at the same time feel in a free and pleasant atmosphere. Also, the Youth Council of the Central Party is actively involved in the organization of events and campaigns of the Central Party, giving young people the opportunity to practically participate in political activities.
Kesknooris is also active at the international level, cooperating with, for example, the Finnish Central Party Youth Association and the German organization “Young Liberals” and participating in international events, which include the events of LYMEC, the umbrella organization of European liberal parties’ youth groups, which give young people the opportunity to expand their horizons and understand global political processes.
The Central Party’s Youth Council is a place where young people can be heard, express their thoughts and influence the world in which they live. If you are 14-30 years old and looking for an opportunity to develop yourself, get involved in the political process and spend time in a nice company, then the Central Party Youth Association may be just the place to belong. Join us and be part of something big and exciting: kesknoored.ee/liitu-noortekoguga/
