The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior announced, on Tuesday, that it will punish those who published a fake picture of a sign on a public road, intended to alert drivers.
“It is absolutely incorrect what was published on a social networking site on the message board changing in one way,” the ministry said in a post on Twitter.
“The Ministry of Interior will take the necessary measures against those who published it,” she added.
Users of social networking sites published a picture of a board that reads, “Look at your grave (in front of you) and let (leave) the people’s daughter alone,” which was denied by the ministry and said that it was “not true.”
This type of sign is usually intended to alert drivers about road conditions or emergency situations and to warn them of committing violations.
The ministry posted a picture of another sign reading “Be careful, the phone is forbidden while driving” and additional text in English, as well as signs related to speed and seat belts.
