Saudi Arabia continues to expand its presence on the world sports stage. This time, with the announcement of four new tournaments on the Ladies European Tour that are incorporated into the 2021 agenda. Known as Aramco Team Series, appointments will be held on New York, London, Singapore and the King Abdullah Economic City. Each of these four events will feature a million dollars in prizes.
Investment of Aramco as main sponsor, with the support of Golf Saudi and several other partners, converts Saudi Arabia in one of the biggest sponsors of women’s sport in Europe. This series is a step forward for the Saudi women’s sport and serves as a continuation of the successful Aramco Saudi Ladies International, presented by the Public Investment Fund, in the Royal Greens Golf and Country Club from Saudi Arabia in November last year.

The first of the four tournaments will take place in New York, followed by one in London and another in Singapore before culminating with a spectacular season finale at the Royal Greens and Country Club with Jeddah.
The four tournaments sponsored by Aramco will form an important part of the calendar of the Ladies European Tour, to be announced in the coming weeks. Teams of four competitors (or so at least it is understood in the statement provided by the organization) will compete in the tournaments, each played over 54 holes. The captains will recruit a fellow professional from the tour, through a draft system similar to that of the NFL and the NBA. Another professional from the tour will be selected at random, while all teams will include an amateur. The prize money for the winning team will be divided among its three professional members.
