A report on the abuse of the 14-year-old, who reported being raped by two men in Lesvos, had received the Smile of the Child. For their part, the two perpetrators appear defiant and say that the minor encouraged them.
“The 13-year-old was living a tense life at home and the report we had is about incidents of physical and verbal abuse that she was living in the house. They had called us and reported abusive behavior within the family,” president Costas Yiannopoulos told Soionia Ora Mega.
«A prosecutor had intervened. Every 4 days children report suicidal ideation. Over 600 children have attempted suicide in the last year,” he added.
Balaskas for 14-year-old: “It’s rape”
Stavros Balaskas, a special police analyst, said that, according to the perpetrators – aged 21 and 22 respectively – the girl encouraged them. They deny any involvement in the case and one even denies meeting the 14-year-old girl. The side of the 22-year-old, however, claims that there was communication through messages with the student, which will also be given to the police.
“They said that he not only urged us, he asked us, he even pressured us. We are talking about a 14-year-old child. It’s rape. Perhaps because she had problems in her home, her act has a vindictive character towards her parents. Of course, they are in a hurry, but this changes the facts a little in terms of the criminal situation and also the psychological nature,” he said.

We remind you that according to the complaint the perpetrators raped, videotaped their heinous act and channeled the video through online accounts to third parties.
The minor girl, upon learning of the leaked video, attempted to harm herself. She was hospitalized and when she was discharged she reported to the police that in late August, the two youths put her in their car and drove her to a deserted location.
The psychologist, Stella Argyriou, said: “Unfortunately, children grow up in a state of violence. When there is violence at home and not welcome, the child will go out and look for another hive of social integration. You become an easy victim.”
